Our Story
For more than four decades, Mendocino Ballet has been dedicated to enriching our community through the art of classical ballet. Founded in 1985, the school was established with a vision of providing high-quality dance education while inspiring creativity, discipline, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts.
Today, Mendocino Ballet welcomes students of all ages and experience levels—from young children taking their very first dance class to dedicated dancers pursuing advanced classical training. Through thoughtful instruction, meaningful performance opportunities, and a supportive learning environment, students develop not only strong technical skills, but also resilience, artistry, and confidence that extend far beyond the studio.
As a nonprofit organization, Mendocino Ballet is proud to serve families throughout Mendocino County by making exceptional dance education accessible to our community. We believe ballet is more than an art form—it is a foundation for personal growth, lifelong learning, and meaningful human connection.
